...when a local gym giant was expanding fast,
adding 100 new branches to its list of gym studios,
by the end of that year. From this, GBS Transport was born,
transporting and installing fitness equipment,
starting with only a bakkie, a light delivery van and a trailer.
Because this project couldn’t last forever,
we ventured into the transportation of boats, motorbikes and quads,
as well as furniture removals.
These became a core part of our expanding list of specialties at the time,
and still are today.
In the year 2013, the company had expanded greatly,
offering an extensive list of services to our valued clientele.
But the owners at the time decided to relocate to Cape Town,
unsure about the company’s future.
Martie Smith, who has been deeply involved with the company since 2007,
saw this great opportunity and acquired GBS Transport,
and has maintained her role as CEO of the company ever since.
In 2014, we got involved in delivering medicine, direct from wholesalers,
to 78 pharmacies in the Johannesburg and West Rand regions,
and soon after we added 20 more pharmacies in the Rustenburg area.
Fast forwarding to the current year,
and GBS Transport Investments (PTY) LTD is a family-owned
Courier Company offering an extensive list of services,
comprising of express / overnight courier services, furniture removals,
transportation of boats, jet skis, motorbikes,
quads and motor vehicles and medicine,
to name but a few. Till this day, we still transport, and install,
fitness equipment.
Looking back at our history, we are proud tell this story and we are
forever grateful for the vast experience and expertise we have gathered,
all to be offered back to you, our always welcomed customers.

We have a small variety of vehicles, big enough for the load, and small enough to offer you the best possible price, striking the balance just right.
We can move up to 4 Tons of goods, which includes towing capacity.*
* Should your load be more than what we can offer, we have set arrangements with various partners to assist with some bigger load carrying capacities, and still provide you a competative price.
